Pakistan gears up for Eid-ul-Adha, a major Islamic festival, with the grand opening of Asia’s Largest Cattle Market 2024, scheduled for May 10th at Northern Bypass in Taiser Town.

This year, the Mandi will feature an enhanced experience for both buyers and sellers, showcasing a wide variety of sacrificial livestock sourced from numerous farms across the country. With millions of animals available, the event promises to support the faithful in fulfilling the Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi with diverse breeds of sacrificial animals.

The Cattle Market 2024, sprawling across 1000 acres and organized into several blocks, is poised to redefine standards in modernization and convenience. Set to enhance the buying and selling experience, this expansive setup will include well-structured infrastructure, extensive parking facilities, advanced security with thorough camera surveillance, and accessible banking services.

Animal welfare is prioritized with medical inspections and ample provisions for food and clean water, ensuring the well-being of the livestock gathered from across the nation for Qurbani.

To ensure the safety of attendees at the Cattle Mandi, stringent security measures will be enforced from the start, including the deployment of additional Rangers and Police pickets throughout the venue.

For many years, the traditional Cattle Mandi was a fixture at Sohrab Goth, cherished by enthusiasts. However, due to the expansion of residential areas and the need to enhance safety due to increased traffic on the superhighway, the market was relocated to Taiser Town Northern Bypass last year.

This move was aimed at benefiting the public at large. Despite the change in location, the Cattle Mandi successfully generated business activity worth PKR 08 Billion during last year’s Eid ul Adha season, according to news reports.

The 2024 Cattle Market, also known as Maweshi Mandi, is poised to draw thousands of buyers and sellers, thanks to enhanced facilities and amenities provided by the authorities. This pivotal event not only plays a significant role in fostering economic growth but also supports thousands of households.

These include seasonal and mainstream livestock owners, transporters, growers, and numerous suppliers and vendors who contribute their services to this annual fair, underscoring its importance in the local economy.

As final preparations are underway, anticipation builds among citizens excited to engage in this beloved tradition. The Cattle Mandi 2024 is set to be a highlight of joy, unity, and celebration, reflecting the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan.

This event promises to bring the community together in a festive and meaningful way.
